The Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR), under the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, is pleased to announce the ICCR Scholarships for international students pursuing Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Ph.D. programs at selected Indian Universities for the academic year 2024-25. Formerly known as the Africa Scholarship Scheme (G0179), this initiative aims to bolster academic collaborations between India and Africa.

Scholarship Details:
The ICCR Scholarships provide comprehensive support, covering full tuition fees, monthly stipends, house rent allowances, one-time thesis and dissertation expenses, and travel expenses. Eligible fields of study include engineering, science, agriculture, commerce and economics, arts, humanities, and social sciences. However, it's important to note that medical, paramedical, fashion, law, and integrated courses are excluded from the scholarship scheme.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must meet several criteria, including being between 18 to 40 years old for Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses, and up to 50 years for Ph.D. courses. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate academic excellence, English proficiency, good health, and hold a valid passport for the entire course duration.
Application Process/ Documents:
Previously, applications were accepted directly on the ICCR’s A2A Scholarship Portal. However, with the introduction of the new "Study in India" portal, the application process for the academic year 2024-25 may undergo changes. Interested students are advised to thoroughly research courses, eligibility criteria, and general information about universities/institutes before applying.
